The Prisoner of Heaven is a novel by Spanish author Carlos Ruiz Zafón.

It was published in 2011 by Planeta S.A. in Barcelona under the title El prisionero del cielo.

The German translation is by Peter Schwaar and was published by S. Fischer Verlag Frankfurt/Main in 2012. The novel is the third part of the novel trilogy Cemetery of Forgotten Books, which still includes the volumes The Shadow of the Wind, The Angel's Game, and The Labyrinth of Lights. The main characters are already familiar from the previous two volumes. The third novel describes their lives in the years 1957-60 as well as in flashbacks in the years 1939-41./
